The band was in a good spirit, they comunicated with us many times. Roger was turning back all the time asking if everything is fine and if we had any wishes for which song to play. At one point John came to us and commented how this intimate and small performance returns him in good old days and how he feels very happy about it. It was a real treat to listen rare performance of Late Bar song, and not once but twice.. The band performed that song at the beggining of their career and last time once only in 2001 on ''Up close and personal'' tour..
It was trully amazing watching the performance from different perspective, seeing how Nick and Roger have eye to eye contact and catching each other every time when new song starts.. It's just like they are competing each time who will catch who in rythm.. And when that fits perfect Nick sends a warming smile to Roger.. All I can say that drum section from behind is something completely different than listening while infront of the stage. They sound very raw.
This performance gives you a bright picture how things work while having concerts on tour. Seeing the set lists, spare drum sticks, guitar picks and their drinks all around them.
We were kindly asked not to make to much noise so that the production team could record clean sound.. But at some point and especially during Sunrise, we couldn't exactly control ourselves and we exploded throwing our hands in the air and screaming our lungs out. It is something that you simply must do when proffesionals perform.
